There are no new lessons to be learnt, just a reminder of an old one: Autarky. This lesson was beginning to get lost even on a Superpower like Russia. No matter how efficiently produced or, how cheap the cost, you should NEVER buy anything from your adversaries. EVER. I was quite surprised that Iran was still using US made Helicopters for Presidential Transport when Russia (an ally) is a leader at Helicopter production.
